Step two: Cleaning

Rigorous cleaning of quartz substrates is essential to rid all surfaces of foreign matter that could impair film adhesion or contribute to long term aging effects. CrystalTech’s cleaning procedure includes ultra-sonic rinses in de-ionized water and solvents, followed by etching in several aggressive acids.
